Some people weren't amazed by the first Matrix movie, but they might like Reloaded more. Or might not I suppose.

Some people who loved the first one were disappointed by the second.

To me, the second movie was everything the first movie had, minus most of the novelty factor of certain never-before-seen special effects and "Matrix-style action", with more substance. Less horror. More story, more philosophical mind-bending, more questions. Less certainty. More sex, more kinds of violence, more adult language -- a bit less squeaky-clean than the first movie, occasionally gratuitous but in the right way. The overwhelmingness was from complexity and philosophy, not from bullets, blood and boobies.

We all have pet theories now about what is or isn't real, who is or isn't a part of the system, the nature and motives of various characters... and we probably won't know for sure until the next movie. In some cases we may never know. Unless the Brothers W. decide to reveal it in an interview or a book or something, or a part of it is told in the Animatrix.

I think I managed to get through that without any spoilers.

I bought a heat pack thing today that's supposed to strap on to the lower back or a shoulder... but it is very clearly not designed for shoulders in mind, though the instructions give a suggestion on how to do it. The gel pack is slippery and the pocket on the wrap is open at both ends, without enough tension to keep it from slipping right out when you try to wear it as suggested... and if you can keep it in, the wrap doesn't stay in place anyway. A towel almost works better. What's really annoying though is that the picture on the outside of the package of the wrap being worn on a shoulder is clearly not the same wrap that is actually in the package. Should have just gotten a regular old electric heating pad I guess.

I have some theories on The Matrix: Reloaded, too. Unfortunatly I can't share them here because I don't want to ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it yet. :)

I will say that I think a lot of what seems real might not be as real as we think it is. Just remember that the machines want humans to have hope, as hope is what keeps us alive.
