| I've finished the last of the songs I was planning to do for the album: the one for my Mother. I was afraid of this song before it started coming together, but I'm very satsified with the results -- it contains a lot of my personal thoughts on Her, whether or not they're understood upon listening or not :) and manages to sound good too.
So now I have a lot of little cleanup work to do on several songs (if not all of them?), rendering to WAV, hand-editing out some of the clicks and pops, managing the leading/trailing silence, adjusting the relative levels of the songs so you don't have to reach for the volume control every song, figuring out what order they go on the album, putting the artwork together, finishing the website and setting up an account with a duplication-on-demand service.
And then the next album and the next. :)
Day one of the bokken workshop was good... and I have to stop writing now and get on the road to make it to day two on time.
