There's one more SimuCon now in the past.

It was awesome, or perhaps I should say, sick, but I mean it more in the Rich "way cool" sense than the Steph "I drank too much and ate a bad slice of pizza" sense.

The artists were a wee bit punch-drunk Friday afternoon as we finally stopped working on the demo we would show Saturday. I have this button now. It's got a chicken on it. You had to be there.

Despite a projector that washed out the colors and a screen too small for the room, the crowd Saturday loved the big waterfall, the chickens, the grand convoluted spires of Soarhaven, the steel golem and a lot of other stuff. I was surprised a few times at what got the most vocal reactions, what didn't, and what sort of things drew nitpicks more than kudos. (When something's 70% right, people accept it as okay and don't look too close. When it's 99% right people get out the jeweler's loupe and look for flaws.)

And the new GS III... excuse me, GS IV (!) front end that David showed off during the keynote speech. After which he proposed marriage to Ashley in the most unique and public way I've ever seen -- a magic trick that nobody but him knew anything about in advance.

And the 802.11 wireless access throughout the con, Radio Free SimuCon, Naria's electric violin performances, the good hotel in a great location, and the con-goers mostly being their own entertainment.

And for the Simutronics staff, tommorow off so we can recover somewhat.

And after that, we figure out how to proceed on the next leg of the Journey ;)

Journey? Oh! I get it. hahahaha Sorry for the sarcasm, but after 5 years of being loyal to Dave's speech I lose touch with my manners. Honestly, I'm happy for you and Simu to finally be able to work on that thing you guys started, and restarted. Wish I was there instead of E3.
