| Starting to get the gist of things. I'm graphing my blood glucose numbers in Excel so I can see the variation, timing and get an approximate weighted average.
Last night I ate a before-bed snack, measured at 3 AM (103) and woke up at 8 and measured again (115). If my 2-hours-after-breakfast test is still in a good range, and if the pattern is similar tommorow, I'll know it's not medicine timing but Dawn Phenomenon.
Hopefully it will only take a couple more days of constant testing to figure out what I need to do. My fingers are so full of holes now, I might confuse them for Swiss cheese and try to put them in my breakfast. ;)
Marabi is definitely going spiked chain -- I bought the miniature and everything, heh. Either straight fighter wearing elven chain armor, or another custom prestige class...
The miniature I'm using is the Chainmail "Snakestrike Duelist," and sure enough, someone wrote a more or less D20 prestige class for them. It's got the CHA bonus to AC thing that my Fan Dancer class had. I don't quite like other aspects of the class, but it's inspired me to take a crack at writing my own. Emphasizing that snake motif, there's a few things that come to mind: poison, a cobra-like strike at surprising range, constricting, snake charming, etc. Could be fun.
I'm thinking since the miniature is wearing light armor, I should allow light armor in the class -- and I don't want to tie CHA to AC and make it a too-many-stats dependent class. But I do like the idea of making Perform(Dance) useful in combat some way, not just an expensive prerequisite.

Actually, that PrC I linked to is a little better than I thought, as a starting point. "Dueling" skill and the idea that a spiked chain is a ranged weapon must be from somebody's house rules though.
It seems like a good starting point, at any rate. Chain Bind must go, though (why throw away your weapon and subject it to being broken?)

On THIRD thought, the only thing I really like mechanically about that PrC is the extra defense, and that isn't particularly balanced. Heh.
