There are some really raunchy but hilarious ones in there, so I'm not quoting what some of my D&D characters' battle cries are. :)

I was wondering the other day, what do you call a person from Myanmar... Myanmese? Myani? Myan? Myanish? Myaner? Myanmarian? Myanch?

There's no way of guessing. Our mishmash of a language is like that, and given all the various ethnicities of the world it doesn't really have much chance at consistency. America -> American. China -> Chinese. England -> English. France -> French. Switzerland -> Swiss. Netherlands -> Dutch (!?). Kyrgyzstan -> Kyrgyz.

Probably "Burman," though. The CIA World Factbook still lists the place as Burma, though the locals call it Myanma Naingngandaw. We don't officially call it Myanmar though because, apparently, the name change is promoted by the military dictatorship and not the legitimate government.

Lately I've been thinking about embarassing stuff from the past and how glad I am to be away from it. Like... well, no, I don't even want to give examples. There are some old pictures in the gallery here that are bad enough, that I should probably get rid of.

It makes me wonder though, what foibles and quirks and habits I have now that I'll look back on in the future with horror and chagrin. Wearing socks with sandals? Replaying Diablo II after all these years? Eating turkey pepperoni as a snack? Hm.
