Holy cow. Good music, try-before-you-buy, buyers choose their own price, and artists get 50% of the sale price.

I really seriously have to think about submitting my stuff to them. OTOH, releasing a CD has been one of my longtime dreams, and me setting a price means I know the House is getting a certain amount from each one.

Here's the tentative plan... I will do the CD thing, and then after a while, also submit it to Magnatune to spread the word more. The second CD will still be a second CD, also to go through Magnatune after the first little bit, if it does well.

The first two artists I tried listening to, Cargo Cult and especially Beth Quist, are just awesome.

In fact, listening to Beth Quist I wonder if I'd even have a chance with this label, heh ;)
